This is kind of my wellness manifesto. I am on a journey toward health and away from toxicity. Here are the few things I do to try to help myself grow:
I don’t eat gluten.
When I was in high school my Doctor told me I can’t anymore. So, all the recipes I post are gluten free! And no, I have not yet figured out how to make the perfect fluffy gluten free bagel (a huge woe to this Long Islander).
I stopped eating animal products.
Okay, I am trying to stop eating animal products. This one is constantly hard for me. So, for right now, our hard and fast rule is that we don’t purchase animal products for our home.
I practice yoga.
I am focusing on moving my body more.
I use doTerra essential oils to support my body.
They have been a huge help in my health journey emotionally and physically. I reach for balance, peppermint, lavender, and grapefruit on a daily basis. My husband now reaches for oils as a support, and I even use them on my puppy! Oils have become a part of my everyday routine. Oils are a part of how I wash my face, what I add to water, and how I clean my house!

I am decluttering and minimizing.
Because it’s time to focus on the important things in life. Also, I was tired of doing eight loads of laundry every time wash day came.
